ATB are a hard-working, friendly, progressive and busy group of musicians catering for all musical abilities, from the absolute beginner through to the aspirational player aiming to play to the highest of standards. ATB comprises of three bands: Andover Town Band, Youth & Community Band and Prospects.

ATB enjoys playing at a variety of concerts and events in Andover and the surrounding villages, performing a wide variety of music, from challenging original compositions for brass band, popular arrangements from the world of rock & pop, through to arrangements from the classical world. ATB also compete at local, regional and national competitions. In April 2022 ATB came 4th out of 15 bands in the West Of England Regional Championships, playing the set test peice Spectrum composed by Gilbert Vinter. As a result ATB has been promoted to the West of England Championship section for 2023 for the first time in their history. The ATB Youth and Community Band won The Best Cornet Section and The Best Bass Section at the 2019 Wessex Training and Youth Band Festival. They went on to win Best Soloist, Best Cornet Section and came Second overall in 2020.

We are very proud of Prospects, our beginners group, open to adults and children who would like to learn and join the world of brass banding.

Throughout the year, we enjoy a good mixture of concerts, charity events, contests and foreign tours. 

Rehearsals

The Town Band rehearse Tuesday and Thursday at the Andover Salvation Army Hall SP10 2EA 7:30pm - 9:30pm.  

The Youth and Community Band, including Prospects, rehearse Thursday evenings 6:30pm - 7:30pm.
